About Us

How we started

 

As far back as we can remember, Ashley and I have had pets. We were raised in families that grew their own food and hunted the land they lived on. Growing up, we  had the opportunity to hunt and fish with our grandparents and parents. Some of our fondest memories are shooting over the family bird dogs.

Today, Ashley and I are blessed to have our own bird dogs and continue the rich traditions we learned as children. Our German Shorthaired Pointer's are companions, hunting buddies and competitors. We are proud to say our shorthairs excel in both the field and the show ring.  Most importantly, they are part of our family.

At Lipan Creek we’re passionate about the German Shorthaired Pointer.  We are committed to quality breeding, training and sporting activities that help continue the legacy of the German Shorthaired Pointer.
